Biographical Sketch Linda Detweiler, D.V.M. Linda Detweiler has a B.S. from Delaware Valley College and her D.V.M. from Ohio State University. After graduating from veterinary school, she had a private veterinary practice in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. Following private practice, she joined the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). At APHIS she worked on surveillance programs for diseases such as scrapie and mad cow disease. Now a private consultant in the area of animal disease detection and prevention, Detweiler works with restaurant and pharmaceutical companies as well as USDA. |
